Details Emerge of Paul Wall and Baby Bash’s Arrest

Details emerge in the highly publicized arrests of Paul Wall and Baby Bash at a weed party in Houston Friday night. Wall (real name Paul Slayton, 35) and Bash (real name Ronald Ray Bryant, 47) as well as two other men are facing felony intent to distribute between four and 400 grams of the controlled substance Tetrahydrocannabinol, or waxy marijuana extract, reports Chron.com.

As reported earlier, the two Texas rappers were apprehended after officers executed a search warrant at Paradise Smoke Shop. According to reports, Slayton was holding a private party, collecting toys for disadvantaged children.

Since the arrest, Baby Bash offered an explanation to the arrest. “I gotta learn how to balance out living in California and Texas, because I have a medical marijuana company in California and when I come to Texas I tend to smoke a lot of marijuana,” he told TMZ.

“All it was, was a little smoke out that got bigger than it should have been,” he further explained “People had edibles and people had dabs. There were no drugs. They tried to make it like we were big druggies, but it was all marijuana and THC. So I want people to know, it was basically me and Paul were smoking some tree. I guess in Texas they don’t play that as much as Cali and Colorado. They arrested us.”

Both men posted $20,000 bond and were released.
