Funkmaster Flex Calls for Truce With Lil Yachty

After dissing the young rapper on his Hot 97 radio show, calling him a “mumble rapper” with no bars and going back and forth with insults on social media, Funkmaster Flex is now ready to call a truce with Lil Yachty.

The Hot 97 DJ posted to Facebook early Tuesday morning in an attempt to bury the hatchet. In the above video, Yachty, sporting red truck red hair and speaking in a semi-Spanish accent, Boat playfully discusses Flex’s criticisms.

The veteran record spinner captions the video: “My brother @lilyachty it’s love… let’s move on… #NotoriousBig thing took me to a bad place… I’m sure you would want us to respect who you grew up listening to… just asking u to respect the B.I.G …… I’m not saying you craft is bad… bars is equal ( not less than your craft ) I wish u more success but just ask u to do alitte homework… I’m guilty myself about saying things about PAC I maybe should have said but I did learn from my experience…. I see u not taking it personal so I won’t also… love… we move forward.”

Those “things” that he said about Pac that he is referring to are comments made after the rapper’s demise. He later clarified his comments.

The bad blood between the two stem from Yachty’s comments earlier this year when he said he couldn’t name five Notorious B.I.G. songs and didn’t seem to much care about it. Boat later apologized for his statements.
