This past Sunday, news spread quick on social media as shots rang at the Route 91 Harvest Festival at Mandalay Bay Hotel on the Vegas strip. CNN has reported that 50 people were killed and upwards of 400 people were injured during the horrific incident, making it the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S history. This attack comes just months after the tragic bombing at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert that left 22 people dead in the U.K.
In the hours and days following the attack, reactions have been pouring in from the hip hop community online. Missy Elliot, Lil’ Wayne, and Russell Simmons have took to social media to express their sympathy for the families of the victims and those affected. These sentiments have similarly been echoed throughout the country.
Take a look at some reactions from the hip-hop community below. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with families of those affected in Las Vegas.
