Kanye West may have snuck in a sneaker release. But Yeezyheads were swift. The Adidas Yeezy Wave Runner 700 sold out fast.
West and family teased the Calabasas-inspired footwear on social media. The hype climaxed when Yeezy Supply posted the new product listing online on Aug. 12. The sneaker is comprised of Adidas’ Boost cushioning in its large midsole. The colorway includes Solid Grey, Chalk White and Core Black. And the shoes cost $300.
Pairs of the Yeezy Wave Runner 700 were available for pre-order and were only able for purchase through Yeezy Supply. Fans exhausted supplies, bringing the surprise sale to a fast end. Later, resellers took to the usual websites like Ebay and Reddit to catch anyone who missed the original pre-order sale. Neither buyers nor resellers have the physical Adidas Yeezy Wave Runner 70 yet as it will not be shipped out until Nov 1.
