Spiritual spitter Lecrae just released his new track “I’ll Find You” featuring Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Tori Kelly. Produced by Frank E (Wiz Khalifa, Kanye West) and Danny Majic (Flo Rida, David Guetta), the inspiring track follows-up “Blessings,” Lecrae’s Top 10 single with Ty Dolla$ign, and both songs are featured on his upcoming Columbia Records debut dropping later year.
“I’ll Find You” showcases Tori’s mesmerizing voice and passionate rendering of the song’s chorus, paired with Lecrae’s riveting lyrical turns. Both artists elevate the song into a cathartic plea about hope and the road regained.
On the song, the uplifting MC rhymes, “They say fear haunts and pain hates/ I say pain strengthens and fear drives faith/ And I don’t know all of the outcomes/ Don’t know what happens tomorrow/ But when that ocean of doubt comes/ Don’t let me drown in my sorrow/ And don’t let me stay at the bottom/ I feel like this hole is too deep to climb/ I’ve been lookin’ for a way out/ But I’ll settle for a peace of mind/ Picking up the pieces of my life and hopin’ that I’ll put together something right.”
Speaking of the track, Lecrae said, “Pain can be a haunting reminder to appreciate every waking moment. So we wrote a song to share our hope in the midst of that pain. At the time of this song’s composition some of our loved ones were battling cancer. We wanted to encourage them to hold on, and tell them we are here waiting, hoping, praying and fighting with them. Some have been released from their pain forever, others are still fighting. Hold on…”
