Fans in attendance of Lil Yachty’s show at SXSW weren’t pleased with his performance of “Broccoli” sans D.R.A.M. And Lil Boat could feel the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm.
After finishing the track, Yachty proclaimed, “Damn that shit was so crazy. That shit sounded like y’all dreaded that shit.”
That’s when an uninspired concertgoer yelled out, “You got no energy, nigga.”
Yachty’s onstage entourage attempted to drown the man in the audience with bottled water.
“Yeah, shut yo’ ass up nigga. Suck my dick, how bout that,” Yachty.
After exchanges of water splashed between the crowd and the performers onstage, Lil Boat settled the situation and resumed his set. See the video below.
In unrelated news, Lil Boat teamed up with Grammy-Award winning producer, singer and songwriter Sean Garrett on “Look On Your Face.” The visual for the single expresses the sentiments every man has related to at one time or another as The Pen sings,
“I know you so tired of my lying/ I done fucked up again but I’m trying/ You know the nigga in me gonna deny it.”
Lil Yachty also sends love to his main boo while still doing his own dirt as raps,
“I know I’m doing you wrong/ Tha’s why I buy everything that you put on/ That don’t make it right but it tear down the hype/ I do not like to fight/ Ijust like to lay down the pipe.”
“This collab with me and Yachty represents the next wave and cultural movement of a new generation of Hip-Hop and R&B,” Garrett told Billboard. “I have always considered myself a trendsetter in this genre and I will continue to do the unexpected in a way the audience loves.”
