Master P Set to Release New Album, Plans Celebrity Basketball Game in New Orleans

Master P tried to tell you 20 years ago that there was no limit to his hustle. And the New Orleans native took to Instagram today (April 25) to show that he is still making big moves.

The No Limit Forever founder announced the upcoming release of his next studio album titled Intelligent Hoodlum. The post shows the album cover with the caption “Coming Soon.”

Shortly after announcing the coming album, Percy Miller revealed that he will be hosting a “star-studded celebrity basketball game during Essence weekend,” the caption under the event flyer reads. “The game will be held at Xavier University Convocation Center on Thursday, June 29th. See yall There!!!!”

It appears that Mr. Miller’s summer schedule will be jam packed. As previously reported, he will begin shooting his biopic this summer with two of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Academy Award nominee Queen Latifah and Independent Spirit Award nominee, Wendell Pierce of The Wire are already committed to be a part of the project.

The film, King of the South, will film primarily in New Orleans. It is important to Master P for the film to have an authentic feel and look. Keeping in the tradition of The N.W.A. story, Notorious, the story of Biggie Smalls, and Tupac’s All Eyez On Me, audience goers will experience the actual neighborhoods The Ice Cream Man grew up in, from his local elementary schools to the Calliope Projects.

Master P changed the music game in the 90’s with an eighty-twenty distribution deal with Priority Records, the first of its kind. Selling over one hundred million records independently, making No Limit one of the most successful Hip-Hop labels to date.
