Migos sophomore album Culture took the number one spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart this week marking the first time the Atlanta trio took the top reigns.

Released Friday, Jan. 27 on Quality Control Music / 300 Entertainment,  Culture officially debuted on the charts with over 131,000 units including 116 million paid streams which marks the single largest first-week album streaming debut by an independent artist in Soundscan history to date.

Speaking on the group’s breakout success, Pee, CEO of Quality Control Music said in a statement,

“We’ve been building this from the ground up independently and it’s amazing to feel the amount of support from the fans and the just due credit across the board.”

Culture comes on the heels of “Bad and Boujee’s” success as the single currently ascends to #1 position at Urban Radio passing Drake’s, “Fake Love.” The single is also Top 5 at Rhythm Radio, and has been added to over 50 pop stations respectively.

Keeping the momentum going, Migos will be performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show as musical guests on Wednesday, Feb. 15, with a special performance of “Bad and Boujee.”

This performance follows an appearance at New York Fashion Week for Fendi on February 10, a second show at the Novo by Microsoft in Los Angeles on February 11, and the Observatory in Santa Ana on February 13.
