Fans who attended the recent concert of Chance The Rapper seemed to have gotten a little too lit.
According to published reports, on Friday (July 21) almost 100 people were taken to the hospital for severe intoxication due to alcohol consumption after a concert that Chance headlined in Connecticut.
During his performance in Hartford, Conn. at Hot 93.7′s Hot Jam concert at Xfinity Theatre, fans decided to turn the experience up a notch by incorporating alcohol in the evening’s festivities. The Daily Mail reports that some of the partakers in the crowd of 21,000 were actually underage, which led to several people being arrested. Hartford police also reported that they made 50 underage drinking referrals after the show as well.
Deputy Chief Brian Foley, an officer on the scene, reported on the violations from his Twitter page warning parents about the illegal activity. “Parents: Did you drop your teen off at the concert tonight. This is what it looks like. & HPD is enforcing underage drinking in the lots,” he captioned on his videos and pictures of the crowd.
No injuries were reported at the event.
