South Carolina lyricist Nick Grant was so moved by Solange Knowles’ critically acclaimed project A Seat At The Table that he decided to remix four of the album’s tracks for his new mini EP A Seat At The Table (Plus One).
Nick Cannon spoke on his connection with Solange’s new project stating,
“I was extremely inspired by Solange’s project that it forced me to write. It enabled me to dig deeper within myself and become a more personal artist. I connected with her words and felt her emotions. Hopefully, my spin on the music will do the same for somebody else.”
Nick gave the four tracks “Don’t Touch My Hair,” “Mad,” “Cranes in the Sky” and “For Us By Us” a few more introspective bars to further his buzz. Grant’s Return Of The Cool is expected to drop this winter. Take a listen below:
