Social Media Goes in on Soulja Boy Challenge

Soulja Boy raised quite a few side eyes with his recent interview on VladTV about the time he emptied the clip on home invaders back in 2008. The way DeAndre Cortez Way tells it, he mowed assailants down like he was Rambo, Commando, D’Jango and Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction all rolled into one.

“One nigga run to the front door. I hop out, I start shooting, shot the nigga,” he describes the scene. “Shot his ass. All the niggas run out the door. This nigga on the floor. [I] walk up to this nigga, take his mask off his head. Looked at, saw who it was. I’m like, ‘Damn.’ Shot his ass again. He screaming and shit. I shut the door.”

But in the immortal words of Jay-Z, “we don’t believe you. You need more people.” So in usual social media fashion, Instagram and Twitter had their way with the animated entertainer. They have even come up with a #SouljaBoyChallenge hashtag. Those taking up the challenge have included Mike Epps, Michael Blackson and even Internet sensation Kountry Wayne.

Check out some of the gut-busting challenge videos below.

On the contrary, however, Droop (the cat SB shot) recently gave his version of the story. He denies a home invasion and says SB shot him times because he slapped the platinum rapper. See interview below.
