Tax Season podcast host Taxstone has been arrested in connection with last year’s shooting at Irving Plaza involving rapper Troy Ave that left the Brooklyn MC wounded and one of his friends, Ronald “Banga” McPhatter, dead. Two other men, including Ave, and a woman were also injured.
Taxstone, born Daryl Campbell, was arrested in Texas in connection with the May 25 shooting. According to reports, Taxstone was wanted for a federal warrant that charged him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, and he was being sought by the NYPD in connection to the Irving Plaza shooting following a T.I. concert last year.
Troy Ave was later arrested and charged with attempted murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon for his alleged involvement in the incident ans is currently out on bail. Police have also stated that an additional shooter is suspected of injuring the rapper and killing his bodyguard and was still being sought.
