Tory Lanez Arrested in Florida on Gun and Marijuana Charges

Tory Lanez was arrested on Wednesday (April 12) in Miramar, FL on charges of illegally carrying a concealed weapon, possession of fewer than 20 grams of cannabis, failure to register a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a vehicle that is not properly insured.

According to an arrest report obtained by ABC’s Local 10 News, Torey Lanez, whose government name is Daystar Peterson was pulled over by police because his 2014 Rolls-Royce had an expired tag. After the stop it was discovered Tory didn’t have a valid driver’s license and police smelled marijuana in the vehicle.

Upon the search, they also found a small amount of weed in the glove box and  a concealed, loaded, unholstered gun in the center console.

The Hip-Hop crooner was released after posting bond.

The marijuana charge is a first degree misdemeanor, while the firearm possession charge is a third degree felony.
