In the latest turn of events surrounding the on-going story of he said/she said between Usher and his herpes accusers, the R&B singer says that there was no way he hooked up with Quantasia Sharpton at an Atlantic City Days Inn for sex in November 2014 because “he was on the verge of getting engaged to Grace Miguel,” TMZ reports.
Sources close to the singer told the celebrity media outlet that Grace was his manager at the time and they spent all of their time free together.
“His people say when the two weren’t enjoying free time, it was all business, and they were inseparable. The couple got engaged less than 2 months after the alleged Days Inn tryst,” the article reads.
Not only that Usher’s representatives say his show ran late on the night in question, and in turn, pushed the meet-and-greet back until after midnight. That timeline discredits Quantasia’s claims of linking up around with the singer around 12.
That time frame also counters the claims of a hotel worker who told TMZ last week that she saw Mr. Raymond and Ms. Sharpton together at the Days Inn in Atlantic City, less than a mile from the concert venue.
According to reports, “she saw Usher come into the lobby shortly after midnight on November 16. She says Sharpton came down, greeted the singer in the lobby and brought him to her room.”
The concert in question was in Atlantic City, New Jersey on November 15, 2014.
Earlier this week, Sharpton held a press conference was accompanied by her lawyer Lisa Bloom and detailing why she’s suing the R&B singer.
“I had a sexual encounter just after my 19th birthday, never once did he warn me about having any STDs,” she said. “I had a child less than a year ago, so I know I do not have the disease, but I still felt the need to contact someone to see what my rights were due to being exposed.”
Sharpton stated that she felt violated by Usher’s alleged omission of his health status and states that it was “unfair” for her to have to find out through the media regarding the issue.
“I am mad because if it weren’t for the reports I would have never known about something that could have affected me for the rest of my life.”
Just last week, after being slapped with a $20 million lawsuit from a woman who claims that he gave her herpes, Usher was hit with a new lawsuit from two women and a man who claim the R&B singer exposed them to the STD.
According to the celebrity media outlet, attorney Lisa Bloom is filing the suit Monday in California and will hold a news conference in New York City to address the issue. One of the women is reported to appear at the news conference. The two others will remain anonymous and will appear in the lawsuits only as Jane Doe and John Doe.
The attorney say that all three individuals claim to have had sex with Usher after 2012, and Mr. Let It Burn did not disclose to them that he allegedly had an STD.
While the singer’s legal problems have been growing, west coast rapper The Game had some encouraging words for Usher in an Instagram post, had some choice words for fans who were harshly coming down on Usher.
“Stop tryna tear n*ggas down with this maybe bogus sh*t….Jane Doe this and Jane Doe that a week ago everybody were Usher fans, now because of health condition he may or may not have , it’s f*ck Usher, stay away from him, his wif should have done this etc…1/2 the people commenting in here haven’t even taken a shower or brushed they teeth this morning yet got dirty d*cks and fish market smellin’ vaginas tryin to weigh in on somebody else’s life… foh let this man live bruh.”
