Get familiar with Caleborate. In the last few years, his name has been bubbling like bong water in The Bay. Following the release of a stand-out project in 2016, the Cali MC is looking to make 2017 even bigger.

The 23-year-old rapper started spitting in high school after being influenced by his brother, but realized emceeing was his destiny after graduation. In 2015, he put out the project, Hella Good, which garnered a buzz. Striking while the iron was hot, he followed up last year with the criminally underrated project, 1993, which showcases the creativity and lyricism of the Cali rhyme slinger on singles like “Game Over” and “Consequences.”

More people are starting to take notice. As he works on his latest project, which features the new song, “Make Me & Take Me,” the demand for the Left Coast rapper continues to grow. In September, he will be performing at the 2017 Paid Dues Festival among a lineup that includes Lil Wayne, Ab-Soul, Ghostface & Raekwon, Freddie Gibbs, Rapsody, G. Perico and more.

Caleb has big plans for his music. “I want to be hella successful and famous and make money,” he told XXL. “Before all of that it would be to actually reaching people and making people feel. When you play a good song, you’ll feel it. You don’t even have to listen to it you just feel it. I just want to make music that makes people feel something, even if the song is like eight words.”
