Black Hippy Ab-SOUL has never been one to shy away from speaking the realness about what he believes and who he is.

In the latest interview with Montreality, the TDE member spoke on why he is not a fan of the popular phrase, “stay woke.”

“To me, it’s like making a mockery of things. Like a making fun of being conscious or being aware. I love to sleep man, I get a lot of sleep and great but I keep my eyes and ears open.”

Soulo also talked about his upcoming project Longterm 3: Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and gave fans a hint to when they can expect the project to be released as well as the status of Control System 2.

“When I feel like I can properly tell the story of the rich and famous (from my perspective), that’s when you’ll get Longterm 3. Control System part 2? Control System is like Scarface, I’m scared to listen to that. That was a cornerstone of my life, a lot happened with me in my personal life when that dropped. To go back there would be kinda ill, but I’ll never say never.”

In regards to his feelings about Kendrick Lamar‘s now platinum album DAMN., Soulo said that he felt that Lamar’s latest project was just K. Dot showing he’s still here.

“You gotta know me and Kendrick are like Ken and Ryu, and I’m Ken, I’m the prototype in a lot of ways. *Kendrick Lamar* is the good kid, with this album he was tryna get back to *K.Dot*, get back to his roots, sag his pants, roll through the hood.”
