R&B Soul Singer Ledisi Gets “High” with Her Newest Release [Listen]

Songstress Ledisi is back with a smooth new single that will definitely have a few heads bobbing.

“Oh It feels so good to be back again,” is the opening line to Ledisi’s brand new single,”High,” solidifying her return to music.  The new single sounds like a breath of fresh air and also nothing like Ledisi has ever done before. Her powerhouse vocals are complimented by a classic smooth groove that has undertones of the “trap” sound that dominates the mainstream.

“High” is Ledisi’s first release since her 2014 album The Truth. The lyrics tell a story of a woman with a renewed spirit after having her heart “broke down in the dirt” and it’s the love of that special someone that has Ledisi feeling good and “high”.

“High” has also made an impact on Urban Adult Contemporary radio in a major way, becoming the #2 greatest airplay mover with Mediabase.
