Felony Arrest Warrant Issued for Offset

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported today that police in Atlanta suburb Sandy Springs has issued a warrant for the arrest of Migos rapper Offset. A police report was filed last Friday by 18-year-old man Junior Gibbons after video footage captured the Atlanta rapper knocking a phone out of the man’s hand at a Target store.

According to reports, officers were called to the Target at 5570 Roswell Road to investigate the damage. The act is considered a felony because Gibbons’ $800 iPhone 8 was destroyed. In the state of Georgia, criminal damage to property valued above $500 is considered a felony.

“When he put his hands up, I thought he was gonna throw up some gang signs or something, but he ended up just smacking my phone down,” Gibbons told AJC. “He didn’t really have to smack my phone like that.”
