Floyd Mayweather Responds to Reports That Conor McGregor Got KO’d While Sparring

In a recent video interview with  Villanfy Media, boxer Jessie Vargas said that Floyd Mayweather won’t have anything to worry about when stepping into the ring with Conor McGregor on August 26, because “(McGregor) got knocked out in sparring already,” he said.

“Conor’s gonna get knocked out,” the former two-weight world champion predicted. “Mayweather always lives up to the hype. I have no doubt. I actually want to put down money on it, the odds aren’t that bad.”

Mayweather, however, is not convinced that mixed martial artist has actually kissed the canvas.

“My thing basically is like this: If I ain’t seen no footage, I don’t believe it,” Mayweather Fight Hype. “Me and Jessie Vargas are in communication. We’re talking about working together with Mayweather Promotions. I would love to work with Jessie Vargas. We’ve been communicating. But I can’t—everything is rumors until I see it. I’m the type of person, I have to visually see it with my own eyes.”

The much-anticipated fight goes down at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

According to reports, the match will be in junior middleweight weight limit of 154 pounds. They will use 10-ounce gloves and it all goes down at the T-Mobile Arena. The fight will be shown on Showtime Pay Per View.

“We’ve been in negotiations for a while,” UFC president Dana White said while appearing on SportsCenter. “Negotiations went smooth. Floyd is surrounded by some smart people, and we got this thing done. The impossible deal is now done.”
