GLC Returns with New Single “The Flow” [Listen]

Chicago rapper GLC is back with some new sounds for the summer.  “The Flow,” produced by Wild Beats Team and Quincy Farmer, is the ism’s new single following the release of “Sankofa With Kwesi,” an ode to his late brother Ronald Harris that was released last month.

A few days ago, GLC took to his Instagram to announce his latest effort. He wrote “#ism #GrowingUpInChicago at some point we felt we had to get off #TheFlow. Listen on #Soundcloud or #AppleMusic #TheBookOfISM #OnTheWay.”

On “The Flow,” the two-time Grammy Award-winning emcee raps about his experiences in overcoming adversity and remaining positive no matter what obstacles may come your way.

GLC has always been an artist not afraid to speak openly and candidly. In an interview with Chicago radio station WGCI last April, the OG G.O.O.D Music artist gave us insight into the mind of his long-time friend Kanye West.

“Kanye’s a sponge,” he says. “Whatever he’s around, that’s what he becomes, so if you (are) around a certain group of people on a regular basis, you begin to look like them; you may begin to act like them.”

GLC continued to say “Ye has always equated success to being accepted by the Caucasian masses, so if the Caucasian people embraced him, then that means he made it.”
