Havoc Releases Statement About Untimely Passing of Prodigy, “I Could Have Crashed With My Kids in the Car”

Havoc of the legendary duo Mobb Deep has issued a statement regarding the passing of his partner in rhyme, Prodigy.

During an interview with TMZ, Havoc states that when he first received the new he laughed in disbelief because he had spoken with his friend the previous day.

“When I got the call at like 11 in the morning, I didn’t believe it. I actually laughed because I didn’t believe it was true. Like no one could tell me that my partner who I just talked to yesterday and was getting the updates on had passed. Plus people do that to celebrities all the time.”

But Havoc revealed that he couldn’t shake the feeling, so he called his road manager who confirmed that what he thought was a rumor was actually true.

“After about an hour of me thinking about it, I figured I needed to call my manager just to ease my mind and when I did I heard him cry like I have never heard him cry before and I knew. The crazy thing is I was driving my 5-fear-old son to get some ice cream to celebrate him graduating kindergarten, so I couldn’t pull over. I was just so numb like I could have crashed with my kids in the car.”

Check out the video below and condolences to Havoc and the rest of Prodigy’s family.
