Katy Perry Allegedly Catching Backlash for New Song with Migos

Her new single “Bon Appetit” hasn’t even been released yet but Katy Perry is apparently already catching heat over the record after posting the cover art on TwitterTMZ reports.

The reason behind the uproar is because the pop singer collaborated with the Migos. The Atlanta group came under fire back in February when group member Quavo made some controversial remarks about ILoveMakonnen coming out as homosexual in a Rolling Stone interview.

When the reporter mentions iLoveMakonnen coming out as gay on Twitter, Quavo, Takeoff and Offset respond with disapproval.

“Damn, Makonnen!” Quavo bellows after an awkward interlude. I mention support I saw online for Makonnen’s decision. “They supported him?” Quavo asks, raising an eyebrow. “That’s because the world is fucked up,” says Offset. “This world is not right,” Takeoff says. “We ain’t saying it’s nothing wrong with the gays,” says Quavo. But he suggests that Makonnen’s sexuality undermines his credibility, given the fact that “he first came out talking about trapping and selling Molly, doing all that.”

He frowns. “That’s wack, bro.”

The group later cleaned up the statement in a Twitter post, saying ““We have no problems with anyone’s sexual preference. We Love All People, Straight or Gay. And we apologize if we offended anyone.”

Obviously, some fans aren’t very accepting of their apology.
