Despite traces of his semen found on the victims pants, Nicki Minaj’s brother Jelani Maraj maintains his innocence for allegedly raping and sodomizing a 12-year-old girl on multiple occasions.
Now, prosecutors are saying that Maraj hit and threatened to sodomize the young girl when she wouldn’t comply with his demands, Bossip reports.
“He would make several threats to her,” Nassau Assistant District Attorney Emma Slane said Thursday during a hearing in the sex crimes division of Nassau County Supreme Court.
“If she resisted in any way, he would threaten to engage in anal intercourse with her, which she said would hurt her.”
Slane said the victim’s younger sister was aware of the alleged crimes, and to keep the girls quiet, Maraj would hit the victim and her sister, when she became aware of the abuse.
“After telling the child not to talk about what happened, he struck (the sibling) in the face,” Slane said. “These children were in fear of him.”
Slane said she would use the testimony during Maraj’s upcoming trial.
Minaj’s 37-year-old brother was arrested in 2015 for allegedly raping and sodomizing the girl on multiple occasions. He recently filed a motion to ask the judge to give them access to the minor’s sexual history.
