Hip-Hop fans get ready to dust off the four wheelers for the reunion of one of Hip-Hop’s most gritty groups.
The official Ruff Ryders website has announced that the original Ruff Ryders, DMX, Swizz Beatz, The LOX, Eve and Drag-On are reuniting at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center in April for their 20th-Anniversary concert.
The crew has steadily been putting in work, so many felt a reunion was on the horizon after DMX and Swizz Beatz teamed up for the track, “Bain Iz Back.” The LOX also reunited in the studio for their latest release on Roc Nation titled, Filthy America… It’s Beautiful, while Eve has seemingly withdrawn from rap to focus on her acting career after getting married in 2014. Drag-On has been hinting at a return the game with the release of freestyles and remixes, while Swiss Beatz did a highly coveted DJ set battling Just Blaze and dropping an unreleased song that featured DMX, Jay Z, Nas and Jadakiss.
While there has only been one confirmed date so far, fans are hoping that this will lead to the crew adding additional dates. For those wanting more of X, DMX will also perform in Miami’s 9 Mile Music Festival in Miami, FL on March 11 with Rick Ross, Julian Marley, and is also scheduled at BB King’s on March 10.
Pre-sale for the Ruff Ryders anniversary show begins on March 1st at 10 AM EST. Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 3rd at 12 PM EST. Click here for full ticket information.
