Waka Flocka Questions Gucci Mane’s Street Cred

Waka Flocka got a few things off his chest about his onetime friend Gucci Mane during a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra. Waka questioned Gucci’s street cred, hinted at Guwop being one of the “fakes” he’s exposing in the rap game and said that he and Gucci hadn’t been tight in almost five years.

The first thing he addresses is the possibility of him and Gucci making a new CD, “It ain’t never happening,” the “Hard In the Paint” rapper said. “That Bricksquad was history. It made me who I am today. It made him who he is today, but enough is enough.

“The Internet is not the streets. It’s a lot of rappers looking gangsta on the Internet but they soft…in the streets.”

Waka’s thoughts on Gucci followed him promoting a new single he plans to drop tomorrow (Feb. 8) called “Was My Dawg.” The song looks as if it, too, addresses the two rappers’ deadened friendship.

“I ain’t going at Gucci,” he proclaims. “Everybody thinks that because I put a picture up saying ‘Was My Dog.'”

He does insinuate that he maybe had to rough Gucci up in the studio in the past and that the East Atlanta Santa has been M-I-A from his heralded stomping grounds.

“Hey, since he been out, did he shoot a video in East Atlanta?” Waka asked. “Since Gucci been out, did he shoot a video in East Atlanta? Alright. I’m exposing these folks. I ain’t no hater, I’m just exposing. Atlanta got real big dogs, real kings of the east. East Atlanta got real kings. It ain’t one person.”

Soon come….
