Chance the Rapper Drops New Video for “Same Drugs” [Watch]

Chance the Rapper is already kicking off 2017 on an amazing high note.

Besides being the first artist nominated for Grammy for a “streaming only” album and being the face of the new #ThankUObama clothing line, Chance has decided to bless fans with the long awaited video for “Same Drugs.”

The Jake Schreier directed visual opens with Chance sitting at a grand piano and features appearances from the puppets that joined him for the Magnificent Coloring World Tour.  The colorful, yet artistically simple video then features Chance later standing up to perform while snowflakes fall on him before he walks through the “video set”, revealing that everyone in the world, besides himself, is a Jim Henson-inspired muppet.

Dubbed as one of the best songs on Coloring Book, “Same Drugs” left fans begging for a music video, to which Chance finally obliged. The video follows previous Coloring Book singles, “No Problem” (which featured 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, and DJ Khaled), “Angels,” and “How Great.”

In other Chance the Rapper news, the new video for “Same Drugs” may not be the only surprise he has in store for fans. According to published reports, Chance has plans to head out on a 40-city arena tour this year. In an interview with  Billboard, Chance’s manager Pat Corcoran reveals the plans via agent Cara Lewis:

“Pat lives and breathes Chance, and is relentless when it comes to long-term goals… Our first date paid 500 dollars. Now Chance is headlining all the major festivals and will embark on a 40-city arena tour.”

No official dates have been confirmed yet, but Chance is slated to hit the stage at the 59th Grammy Awards next week, where he is up for seven Grammys in total.
