Steph Curry for the win, boy. The NBA just announced its list of top selling jerseys and team merchandise from April to June 2017 and Oakland dominated more than just games.
The Golden State Warriors swept the season and playoffs 12-0, and were the only team in history to enter the NBA Finals with such a record. Their first loss among the 2016-2017 season and postseason took place at Game 4 of the finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. However Game 5 affirmed what season stats already suggested: the Warriors were the 2017 NBA Champions. So it’s no surprise that Curry’s topped the list of jersey sales plus his team had the most players in the top 15. GSW repped four slots total including No. 3 Kevin Durant, No. 10 Klay Thompson and No. 11 Draymond Green. And while Cav Lebron James excelled in 2017, his efforts were still pinned against the success of his team’s rivals. James secured No. 2 on the list while teammate Kyrie Irving took No. 5. This season’s MVP Russell Westbrook of Oklahoma City Thunder earned the fourth spot. Below is the NBA’s full list of most popular jerseys. Note that this list is before the Chicago Bulls recently traded Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Butler’s red jersey was the one on sale.
