GRIP caught up with Ralo and Young Dolph this week as the two trap hustlers hosted Ralo’s mixtape listening session for his latest project Ralo LaFlare during #MixShowMondays in Atlanta.

Ralo spoke on a few topics including how he came to sign with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Eskimo Records, not wanting to be overshadowed by his mentor as well as standing on his own and not solely relying on Guwop to take him to the next level.

Besides the music, the West End Atlanta rapper also discussed his issues with Blac Youngsta’s portrayal of Jesus Christ as a lame publicity stunt as well as his charity deeds like feeding the homeless and making it rain on the less fortunate.

With his huge success this year with the release of the projects Gelato and Bulletproof, Young Dolph also shared his plans of signing to a major and weighed the options of staying independent.

The two also discussed their brotherhood and how their friendship ignited. Fresh from shooting the video for “Never Going Broke, Ralo says, “We been seeing each other out at video shoots and everything and he been seen me working. He always supported me and from day one told me to keep working. He been schooling me on a lot of stuff about the game and I’ve been listening to him. And I like to learn from other people’s mistake so I won’t make the same.”
