GripMagazine.com recently caught up with veteran music promoter Nick Love as he discussed his distinguished career behind the scenes and being part of the machine that drove Jeezy to platinum heights and helped the Coalition DJs become industry powerbrokers.

Nick Love’s marketing talents have played key roles in the rise of other Atlanta superstars including Future, Ludacris, 2 Chainz, T.I. and the Migos just to name a few and his business acumen landed him and his Coalition DJ team on the front page of the business section of The Wall Street Journal. Being one of the pillars making Atlanta a music hub, he explains in the interview his successful run of breaking records in the strip club as well as his views on street promotions re-emerging.

With his brotherhood with The Coalition DJs still in tact, Nick stepped away from the accomplished record breakers in 2015 and has been spreading his wings with his company 1Fifty7 Unlimited, Inc. A food connoisseur as well, Nick Love also launched a website and web-series called TheBiteLife where he has interviewed some of his celebrity friends and introduced to them to fine restaurants and foods throught the country. He said,

“I started out exposing my people to new restaurants around the city but  with me getting into the political and community stuff lately, I’ve been exposing people to some dope Black restaurants. There are some exceptional Black owned restaurants. I was up at Puff and Petals, K. Michelle’s restaurant, the other day.  There’s a restaurant in Kennasaw I love called Caper’s. My man Champ has Toppings Pizza off of Whitehall Street. There’s a lot of cool spots around the city that are Black owned and doing good business, selling a good product and they need that help and support and I’m all about helping  exposing people to those.”

Still a main force in the ATL music scence, Nick’s latest musical takeover is #MixShowMondays where he holds weekly listening sessions from many of your favorite artists like Rich Homie Quan, Young Scooter and this week’s host Ralo who’ll  be pushing his latest project Ralo LaFlare.

The weekly event is held at 2 Chainz’ restaurant Escobar,  located at 327 Peters Street Southwest in Atlanta. Industry tastemakers, DJ’s and some of the hottest emerging talent in Atlanta also make their way out to network and build relationships weekly GripMagazine.com checks in with new talent About2Blow.

Speaking of his new endeavour,

“We’re reintroducing the whole album/mixtape release parties….Over the years the labels stopped putting out albums but I want people to get excited about new music again and go support it.”
