Social media was far from nice when receiving news that Chrisette Michele signed up to perform at the Inauguration for President-elect Donald Trump.
New York Daily News reported the deal was reached a week ago, but has been kept “a big secret” because Michele’s camp feared the public backlash. Now, two days before the Don gets sworn in as Commander in Chief, the singer is feeling the heat from her decision.
Just last week, Broadway singer Jennifer Holliday, who’d committed to performing for PEOTUS, withdrew amidst heavy pressure, citing “a lapse of judgment.” And she’s not the only one. R. Kelly took to Twitter to dispel any rumors of him performing and 2 Chainz revealed on Instagram Friday that he turned down an invitation to perform. Added to that, Snoop Dogg said that he will roast any “coon” who entertains Trump. Check out what a few Twitters users had to say below.
